A breezy, somewhat twee artist in the vein of Regina Spektor or Kina Grannis (or She & Him or Zee Avi or … listen, it’s a big vein) this singer-songwriter rose to fame in the mid-’Aughts with her light, piano-tastic music, clever lyricism and rich vocals. Soon her songs were appearing in Grey’s Anatomy, Old Navy commercials and oodles of “totally precious” post-hookup mixes for Sunday brunches worldwide—not to mention our hearts. Like… her music is in our collective hearts, is what we’re going for … we guess.
